I have read from the internet that leaving your PS5 in a vertical position for long periods of time or after long hours of gaming that it can cause the liquid cooling system in the PS5 to leak down onto the mother board. So when i saw this as a free review item . I did not hesitate on getting. Once arrive easy installation. Just take it out of the box, put your PS5 in horizontal position and click it in to place. Decent support. Good hard plastic. And just lifts the one end of the PS5 high enough to make it even horizontally. Overall peace of mind for me. And great stand for the PS5
Now I just started to use my console horizonally, even though it takes up so much room. I just wanted to make sure that the unit would operate properly when in use. The bonus usb adapter was definitely helpful. I have so many things that I plug into the usb ports and sometimes the ports that the console offers just isnt enough. Now I really like how my console isnt just actually laying flat on the table and just has it nicely elevated.
This is a simple stand and easy to install, but definitely adds some stability and improvement for those who keep their PS5 on the side. I hated the stand that came with the PlayStation as it never held well nor really worked that great. This one by ECHZOVE is a big improvement. While one user mentioned it’s wobbly, that’s not an issue for mine. It holds solid and keeps the system very stable.
The USB hub up front adds 3 additional USB-A ports without covering up the USB-C one on the left. I will say that with this part, the USB hub is wobbly as it only holds to the PS5 by the USB-A port on the left. But so long as you hold onto it when plugging and unplugging devices, this isn’t a problem.
Overall, I’m quite happy with this stand. The shade of white matches that on the PS5 so it looks like it belongs while adding much-needed stability to the system.
After reports in the media about the PS5’s Liquid Metal leaking and/or drying out on the main APU, I decided to keep my PS5 oriented horizontally. The problem is that the included stand that ships with the console is (in my opinion) not so great when used in that orientation. When I saw this product, I definitely wanted to try it because it replaces that original stand.
It’s very easy to attach to your console, it took me less than a minute to do it. This stand seems to be designed for both the digital edition and the normal one that has a UHD BluRay drive. If you have the $500 model, then you need to extend out the little sliders on the left part of the stand.
There is also a USB A hub included, it gives you an additional 3x ports for charging your controllers. This is useful because the PS5 only has 1x USB A port on the front side of the console. The hub matches the aesthetic of the PlayStation and doesn’t look out of place. I wouldn’t buy this just for the USB hub, but it’s a nice bonus that can be really useful if you have two controllers like me and you want to keep a spare one charging, or perhaps connect a wireless adapter for a headset.
