I have an Xbox Series X and a subscription to GamePass Ultimate. But sometimes I don't want to fire everything up and be stuck in one room. I looked at the Steamdeck (which is very cool) and the Logitech handheld but this does the same thinsg if you have an even remotely decent phone.
I connected it to a controller form the Series X and added my 4 year old Pixel 3a and played most of the games on Gamepass without issue. It took a few minutes to get it adjusted to be able to see the screen and hold the controller comfortably, but yo have more option and adjustability than with handheld consoles.
The only real downside is that my box came with no instructions for assembly and there was a small runner rectangle that i still have not really figured out where it goes.
But if you wanna connect your phone to a controller, this is a great way to go.
This is a great controller clamp for all kinds of gaming on your phone as well. It holds your phone in place while you're playing the game on your phone and it has good stability and is easy to install as well. And it only pretty much look like it does Xbox controllers. Pros:
It fits my phone well (Galaxy S22 Ultra)
It can handle the weight of the phone and the lock for the angle holds in place as well.
Cons:
Not really a con, but easy to miss. Do not forget to add the plastic on the back (see picture)
Other thoughts:
I first tested it and realized it did not hold tight the controller. Then I realized that there was a small plastic that had to be added. Now it made a big difference as it holds the controller in place as it should.
I think some feedback to the company that makes this item, is to add some instructions. Yes, it is very simple to use, but that black plastic bumper is also easy to miss.
So, it holds tight, it handles the weight of my phone, and I have been testing some games and I can play fine. I do not normally hold long playtime hours, but at least for the hour playtimes that I had, my hands did not get tired at all.
I really enjoyed how easy this controller attachment was to setup and use. The weight is perfect for allowing the mount really be a mount to a phone's weight. There are toggle and adjust multiple axis' of this mount so that it fits your needs. It is easy to disassemble, and take apart.
The front panel wraps around the buttons fairly snug, so you don't have to worry about buttons being accidentally clicked, nor scratching the controller.
Great value overall, and an excellent addition for 'cloud gaming'.
works great i can use my xbox controller and bluetooth it to my phone so i can play my xbox games on the go im so happy so when i travel i dont have to worry about messing up my xbox i just bring my controller problem solved
